Morocco, ‘important’ eu partner, andalucia president

Granada – Morocco is an « important » partner of the European Union in maintaining security, achieving political stability and boosting economic prosperity, President of the Andalusian Autonomous Government José Antonio Grinan said Saturday in Granada.
« Morocco is an important partner to achieve the goals of security, political stability and economic prosperity », Grinan underlined during a banquet dinner with the Moroccan delegation participating in the First Morocco-EU summit, held in Granada March 6-7.
Morocco-EU relations have progressed during the latest years with the aim of building mutual trust, he said, adding that the Moroccan-EU cooperation is an example to follow for the Euro-Mediterranean countries.
The banquet dinner was attended by Morocco’s Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi, who headed the Moroccan delegation to the first Morocco-EU Summit, European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, European Commission President José Manuel Durao Barroso, Spain’s President José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and several Moroccan, Spanish and European senior officials.
